A tradomedical practitioner in Igbogili, Abavo Kingdom, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Dr Dibie Owie who was born from a tradomedical home has said that roots and herbs are therapy and food supplements.
In an interaction with newsmen at Dr Owie’s Tradomedical Home, Igbogili said he iherited the tradomedical practise from his late father, Dr Chibueze Owie who taught him the meaning of roots and herbs.
According to him, he has been practicing on his own since the death of his father, Dr Chibueze Owie.
Dr Owie who is a member of National Association of Nigeria Traditional Medical Practitioners, Delta Chapter said that he is also passing the knowledge to his children so that the medicine will not die after he has passed away.
He said that he has used roots and herbs to assist many people with different kinds of ailments, such as ulcer, diabetes, epilepsy,barreness, cough and weak-erection. The traditional doctor advised his colleagues to be zealous and truthful in their practice to avoid bringing ridicule to the job.He maintained that one good turn deserves another and that patients should adhere to their native doctor’s advise .
He thanked the Obi of Abavo kingdom, His Royal Majesty Uche Irenuma 11, the Obi of Abavo and his council of chiefs for the good leadership in Abavo.He prayed God almighty to grant them wisdom strength and resources to pilot the affairs of Abavo Kingdom to a greater height.
