The monarch of Onicha-Ugbo Kingdom in Aniocha North Local Government Area, His Royal Mjaesty, Obi Victor Chukwumalieze on Sunday July 26, 2020 commissioned Royal Lounge, an extension of Royal View Hotel situated along the Umunede/Asaba expressway.
Speaking with newsmen immediately after the commissioning, Obi Chukwumalieze gave thanks to God Almighty for his grace upon the royal family of Umunede Kingdom. According to him, “The land which this gigantic Royal View Hotel was built on at far back 2000 was a place I and my good friend, the Obi of Umunede, His Royal Majesty Dr. Ezeagwu Ezenwali Agadagidi JP usually come to relax. It was later turned a mini restaurant. I can vividly remembered that in the course of our interactions that Obi Agadagidi had equally revealed to me of his plan to build a hotel on the said land and which I doubted him for the fact that he has no money to execute such project as at that time. But Obi Agadagidi in reply said that is a dream that he believes God will come true.
“As mini restaurant, Agadagidi’s wife, Queen Anthonia Ezeagwu who doubled as the Isor of Umunede had entertained with Ishi-Ewu (Nkwobi), Chocolate ice-cream and lots of good meals and choice wine. Sincerely as at then, it was a place to be for your relaxation.
“I stopped coming out for our usual meeting at the mini-restaurant for the fact that as a monarch whatever we do, the people interpret it in a negative form.
“Today, I was invited by Obi Agadagidi and his wife, Isor to commission Royal Lounge, an extension of Royal View Hotel. But to my surprise, our relaxation spot which later turned a mini-restaurant now metamorphosis into gigantic hotel as the dream Agadagidi had twenty years ago.
“I thank God that it was dream come true and return all glory to Him. This dream of Agadagidi coming to pass shows that God never fails. The hotel arena is a place to be and the standard can compete favourable with others. I am happy to have commissioned the new extension of the hotel”, he said
Continuing, Obi Chukwumalieze used the opportunity to pour encomium on Isor and the children who according to him are blessings to Obi Agadagidi.
Responding, Obi Dr. Ezeagwu Ezenwali Agadagidi I JP said he was overwhelmed over the inclusion of the lounge section of the bar, which according to him is an upgrade of the Royal View Hotel. According to him, “My joy knows no bound over the new development for the fact that it was fully executed by my crown prince and his siblings and so proud of them”.
On her part, Queen Anthonia Ezeagwu said it’s a good thing and the Lords doing that their Royal View Hotel now has a lounge section, thanking her children for putting smiles on their faces. She added that it is the prayer of every parent that their children grew up to be better than them and do things which they are unable to do.
While calling for more patronage from the members of the public, the Queen Ezeagwu stated that she remained thankful to her husband Obi Agadagidi who according her made them whoever and whatever they are today. She also appreciated Obi Chukwumalieze for his love for Umunede royal home, the Umunede Council of Chiefs led by its chairman, Chief A.O.
Onyeagwu, the Akonuweh of Umunede Kingdom and hosts of other dignitaries for coming.
