The Chairman, Social Democratic Party, SDP in Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr Eke Egede has said that his party is fully on ground in the local government. The Agbor born SDP leader described his party as a grassroot one whose vision is to take over governance in the next Council election in the local government.
According to Egede, “SDP is fully on ground in Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State. We have chairmen and executive members in the twelve Federal Wards in Ika South. Our members are also drawn from the twelve wards and we have been putting heads together in other to achieve great success in future elections”
On the question how serious and prepared is Ika South SDP?, Egede said, “We are very prepared.SDP is the number opposition party in Ika South. We are one United political family. We are not like other political parties in Ika South that have many chairmen and no unity. Without mincing words, our goal is to win elections and not to fight among ourselves. I run a vibrant executive that is capable of winning any election. As a grassroot political leader, I will ensure the growth and success of SDP in Ika South.”
He thanked members of the party for their support and loyalty, urging them to remain committed as the party is not going to disappoint them.
