Abavo Community has expressed appreciation to the Founder, D-PETERSON FOUNDATION, Dr Donald Peterson for donating a security Van to Abavo Vigilante Group.
The peace loving community on behalf of her traditional ruler, Obi Uche Irenuma 11, through a delegation from the community paid a thank you visit to Dr Peterson on Tuesday, August 17, 2020 at his Agbor residence.
The delegation comprises: Agbejiagwe Jonathan Ohioya, the President General of Abavo Clan Union, Chief Odijie Yusuf, Chief Simon Isiza, Willy Okoh and Obaseki Okorie Jnr.
While presenting a thank you letter to Dr Donald Peterson on behalf of Obi Irenuma, they thanked the Agbor born philanthropist for contributing towards the development of Abavo in the area of supporting security in the area, noting that they will remain grateful to him.
The urged him not to relent in his love for Abavo people for they are proud of him.
Responding, Dr Peterson thanked Obi Uch Irenuma and the entire Abavo people for the visit, stating that he is proud and happy to identify with them. He used the medium to appeal to leaders of the community to avail their youths the chance to partake in IELTS programme sponsored by his Foundation, D-PETERSON FOUNDATION.
While explaining the benefits of ICT to the present generation, he said that his vision is to create opportunities where youths of Ika extraction will develop themselves and become employers of labour.
In his vote of thanks, a member of D-PETERSON FOUNDATION, Hon Smart Buzugbe stated that the foundation and its Chairman, Dr Peterson are grateful to Abavo Community for coming to say thank you to the Foundation, adding that the foundation will continue to maintain a robust relationship with Abavo Community.
High points of the visit were the presentation of the thank you letter from Obi Uche Irenuma to Dr Donald Peterson and taking of group photographs.
It could be recalled that D-PETERSON FOUNDATION in February this year donated a patrol van to Abavo Vigilante group after an appeal from the community.
