Sunday, August 16, 2020 was a day of thanksgiving and merry making for the members of Step To Higher Ground Deliverance Ministry, Ime-Obi Agbor. It was a day fathers, mothers, youths and children of the church rolled out drums to celebrate the first year anniversary of the church.
Step To Higher Ground Deliverance Ministry which has gained prominence in Edo and Delta State, was affirmed to be a home of deliverance and salvation.
The church is headed by an humble indigene of Agbor kingdom, Pastor Lucky Isioma Asiwe. It came into existence precisely on 2nd of May, 2020 not as a surprise to its members and has since remained an outstanding house for God’s fellowship.
The epoch making event witnessed a step to reaching a new level of God’s supernatural power evidenced through the testimonies which abound in the lives of the worshipers.
In attendance were prominent men of God and the guest speaker, Pastor Godwin Oriahi, who in his sermon titled “God of Abundance”, charged participants to be obidient to the things of God to enable them attract His blessings.
The man of God explained that Abraham blessings came to him because of his obidence to God, adding that when one obey’s God, His blessings will pass through his or her generation.
He advised christians not to renage in paying their vows to God in order not to have their destiny been tightened, adding that they should not despise their parents but dwell in God presence and most importantly, be a caregiver.
The General overseer, Pastor Asiwe, who was overwhelmed with joy, expressed gratitude to God for all He has done for the church.
He narrated his ordeal to have the church stand it’s present status, and in the same vein thanked God for the progress recorded thus far.
“I am over the moon for the achievements of the church. The church has grown to high capacity and still waxing stronger being a deliverance ministry.
“The church has its own building and an extra land, hopefully for the expansion of the church. We have every reason to celebrate because God has really done much for us. His miracles are real and testimonies abound,” he said.
Pastor Asiwe whose watchword resonates on holiness, righteousness and deliverance used the medium to advice christian’s, particularly ministers to be hardworking, lamenting that most believers are not been patient.
“If you are a minister and you are not patient, you will miss it all. You may also not be aware untill God completely leaves you. Therefore, I advice those genuinely working in the vineyard of God to be patient and be hardworking to enable them enjoy the fruit of their labour,” he added.
While appreciating members for their cooperations, Pastor Asiwe enjoined them to be more prayerful and endeavour to worship God in truth and spirit.
Climax of the occasion were presentation of drama, cultural dance, choreography and choir ministration. There was enough to eat and drink.
