Thugs burn down Osawe family house, declare war on late politician’s children
It’s really a tough and difficult time for the family of late Mr Chucks Osawe as armed political thugs from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 invaded the house of the deceased politician and razed it down with fire. The hoodlums who were armed to the teeth with matchets and guns did not spare anyone in the attack as they wrecked havoc in the entire building.
The recent attack was received with a great shock by residents as they did not really expect armed men to burn down the house of late Mr Chucks Osawe after his death in 2013.
Narrating the ugly incident to newsmen, a member of the Osawe family, John Osawe said that he was in his house on that fateful day when he received a distress call that his late brother’s house was on fire.
“Immediately’, I got the distress call I rushed to my late brother’s house but, it was already late as the entire building was seriously damaged by the fire. With this recent development, everyone living in the house has ran away for their dear lives.
Speaking further,. he said, ” My late brother, Mr Chucks Osawe died in 2013 after he was attacked by the same political thugs. After his death, his children and other family members lived in the house until it was invaded by armed men. Their plan was to destroy everything my late elder brother had. And their major target is the only surviving son, Monday Osawe. Severally, the political thugs have said that until they kill Monday Osawe their case with late Mr Chucks Osawe will not end. Therefore, I have advised my family members, particularly Monday Osawe to stay safe anywhere they are until those thugs are arrested and prosecuted.”
He called on the state government to quickly address the issue before it escalates, noting that the Osawe family will not continue to suffer humiliation from armed PDP thugs.
