A herbalist at Alishime, Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State and a member of National Association of Nigeria Traditional Medicine Practitioners, Delta State Chapter, Dr Abraham Chukwuka has during the week advised his colleagues to obtain license for tradomedical practice.
Dr. Abraham gave the advise in a chat with newsmen recently. He said with the license ” you will be recognized as a professional tradomedical practitioner, but not as quacks or those who did not learn the work or obtain orientation”.
He appealed to Delta State Government led by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to inaugurate the executive members of Traditional Medicine Board, which he said will generate revenue for the state government.
He further called on the youths to avoid smoking of Indian-herm and indicent dressing which he according to him is causing many problems in the society today. He also advised them avoid traveling abroad to engage in illicit yahoo work.
In a related development, Dr Abraham said that as a herbalist he has used roots and herbs to assist many people with different ailments such as ulcer, pile, diabetes, swelling of the body, tuberclosis (TB), eye problem, ear problem and barrenness etc. He advised patients to adhere to the advise from their traditional doctors to avoid bringing ridicule to the traditional practitioners.
He also enjoined his colleagues to consult on any case they cannot handle alone.
