Sonia is a paragon of beauty. In fact she is an epitome of prettiness to behold. A mother of three (two girls and a boy). She is married to a well to do husband. The husband loves her dearly- that she lacks nothing. Bought her a car and opened a standard supermarket for her along Nnebisi Road, Asaba. Really she was happily married.
It was on that fateful Saturday morning that the cat was let out of the bag. Sonia and her husband were in the sitting room watching a movie when the door bell rang.
“Who could that be at this time of the morning? Are you expecting somebody” the husband asked in wonder”
“No, am not or are you?” She asked her husband and he nodded negative; then she got up to answer it.
“Who’s there” she asked and after not getting a response, she opens it.
“Tony, what are you doing here? I thought I told you not to come here. Go away”. I will not, woman Tony replied in anger.
“Honey, who is at the door?”The husband asked, “Don’t worry I will handle it darling” Tony pushed Sonia out of the way and walked confidently into the sitting room where Sonia’s husband was sitting.
“And who are you”? Sonia’s husband asked looking from his wife.
“Well if you must know, my name is Tony and I’m here to see my woman”
“Your woman? And who, if I may ask, who might this woman be?”
“Sonia, so this is what you have turned into. I never knew you could stop this low. You are nothing but a flirt. You whore. I regret the day I set my eyes on you. I even regret the day I married you.” The husband kept thundering continuously.
The children were attracted by the noise coming from the sitting room.
“We are very disappointed in your mum. You are cheating on Daddy” Vera, the eldest of the three children said walking towards her mother.
“I hate you mummy. I hate you so much for what you have done to this family,” Anthonia remarked.
Junior, the last child, hesitated for some time before he finally spoke. His words were what sent Sonia falling on the floor.
“Whore!” He screamed and everyone chorused.
