
The Supervisory Councilor for Health, Ika North East Local Government Area Council, Hon. Ucheonye Ujor on Friday, September 11, 2020 gave out empowerment of hair driers and sewing machine to People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members in his Ward 3 Boji-Boji Owa.
The beneficiaries of the items include Ezuomiken Doris, Linus Nwosu and Chuks Blessing.
Speaking with journalists, Hon. Ujor said that it is not the first time he has affected the lives of the people of his Ward but to as many who have come to him for assistance. According to him, “Many have benefited through my free computer training as part of my effort to make youths in my ward self-reliant and become bosses of their own.

“My recent gesture of giving out hair driers and sewing machine was to make memorable the visit of our new party chairman, Rt. Hon. Chuks Agboma to our Ward 3 in Boji-Boji Owa.
“The empowerment came as surprise and the beneficiaries are privileged to have been selected among many youths who turned out enmase to welcome the party LGA Chairman.
“I am indeed thankful to the Almighty God for giving me another opportunity to affect the lives of our youths positively. I am also thankful to my leaders in the persons of Hon. Emeke Asiwe, Chief Mrs. Mary Agbogwe, Emeke Longman and a host of others for their inspiration”.
Continuing, the Supervisory Councilor on Health remarked that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa led administration has greatly affected the lives of the youths in the state through skill acquisition to be more effective. Hon. Ujor therefore appealed to beneficiaries of his empowerment not to sell the items but rather make good use of them to affect others.
Responding, Hon. Agboma lauded Ujor for his commitment to the party, while praying God to reward him for kindness shown. He urged others whom God has blessed to spread it either monetarily or otherwise to affect more lives in the party.
The Ward 3 PDP chairman, Chief Kingsley Osagie while beaming with smile, described Ujor’s empowerment as first of its kind, saying that in many ways the donor has shown to have the party faithful in the ward at heart.
A beneficiary of Ujor’s free computer training, Idris Hamisu eulogized Ujor who according to him will not stop doing well. While others, in the person of Shaibu Uba and Jerry Ebeye said they are proud of Ujor and thanked him for his generosity.
