It was all fun amidst thanksgiving to the Almighty God, as members of University of Calabar Alumni Association, Ika Chapter celebrated their end of year party. The event which was held on Tuesday, December 27 took place at West Zone Bar/Car Wash along Owa-Ekei Road, Boji-Boji, Owa. It was attended by members and their spouses.
In his address, the Chairman of the Chapter, Rtn. Patrick Osemiha thanked God for the blessing of good health and life. He congratulated members for making it to the end of the year, wishing them more glorious years ahead.
He disclosed that the Chapter is strongly committed to giving back to the society, hence, plans are on the way next year to embark on advocacy programme where the young ones will be enlightened on the rudiments of responsible living.
He thanked members for their commitment and support, urging them to keep on with the vision of building of a better and productive Chapter. He wished them happy yuletide season and prosperous 2023.
The gathering offered a huge opportunity for members to retrospect old days at the University of Calabar, an ace Nigerian tertiary institution.
High point of the event was dancing by spouses and taking of group photographs. All persons who graced the event had enough food and drinks.
