The traditional ruler of Ute-Okpu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Obi Pastor Solomon Chukwuka, has been inducted member, Rotary Club of Agbor. The induction ceremony which took place on Wednesday, October 14 at the Ute-Okpu Royal Palace was presided over by the Rotary Governor, District 9141 District, Rotarian Virginia Major. Rotary members who were present to witness the epoch ceremony were the former governor of the district, Rotarians Oladokun Adeyemi, Andy Mordi, Chief(Mrs) Henrietta Ajuebon Egbarin(JP+), Chief(Dr) Emmanuel Tibi, Elder Monday Apaokwueze, the current President, Rotary Club of Agbor, Chris Monye, Dr Onyemechi Ugboh, Emeke Utebor, the immediate past president of the Club, Nkechi Odum, Dr Emeluem, among other Rotarians who are members of the Rotary Club of Agbor.
Performing the induction ceremony, the District 9141 Governor, Rotarian Virginia Major described the ceremony as an epoch one, pointing out that Rotary Club is proud to have a respected traditional ruler like the Obi of Ute-Okpu as her member. She stated that Rotary is completely into humanitarian service aimed at building a better society. She listed the recent achievements of the Club to include the fight against polio in the world, stressing that Nigeria now has no polio case.
She said, ” Rotary is all about service both to humanity and the society. Rendering service to others is our goal. Our theme this year is ‘Opportunity for all”.Our Club opens opportunity for us to serve. One of our recent achievements was the elimination of polio from the world,in which Nigeria now records zero case in polio.
“As Rotarians our vision is to join efforts with others in the world to completely wipe away polio in the world.
While congratulating Obi Pastor Solomon Chukwuka, Rotarian Virginia Major expressed optimism that the Royal Father will add glamour and also contribute meaningfully to the Club.
In his remark, Obi Pastor Solomon Chukwuka said, ” Thank you Rotary Club for your selfless services to humanity and our society in general. My induction today as a Rotarian is a good thing in my life and I am grateful to Rotary Club for the opportunity to serve humanity.
He further said, ” I have been in love with Rotary Club right from my secondary school days.Now that I have been inducted I will do everything in my power to move Rotary Club forward.”
The President, Rotary Club of Agbor, Rotarian Chris Monye in an interview described the induction of Obi Pastor Solomon Chukwuka as a boost to the Club.He declared that Rotary will remain committed to its resolve to serve and contribute meaningfully to humanity and the society at large.

High points of the ceremony were the official induction rite and the presentation of Rotary materials to Obi Pastor Solomon Chukwuka and taking of group photographs.
