The Chairman of PDP in Ward 5 in Ika South Local Government Area, Mr Ifeanyi Nmoyem and other members of the Ward ExecutÃve Committee on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 paid a courtesy visit to Mr Jude Onya, the LGA Chairman of PDP in Ika South.
The Ward is made up of Ekuku Agbor, Agbor-Alidinma, Obi-Agbor and Obi-Iduhon communities.
The Chairman of the Party in the Ward, Mr Nmoyem, stated in his remark that the members of the Party Executive in the Ward came to pay the courtesy visit to the LGA Chairman to express their happiness and appreciation to God for successfully leading the LGA Chairman to and fro on his recent trip.
He further emphasized that the Ward ExecutÃve Committee also decided to come and see the Party Chairman so as to use the golden opportunity to directly inform him of their unalloyed loyalty and commitment to the Party and to His Excellency, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Governor and Leader of the Party in Delta State.
He harped further that the entire members of the Executive and the general party members in the Ward have resolved to work and implement the directives of the Party and that of the Governor on all PDP-related issues.
He also used the medium of the courtesy visit to present Mr. John Acha to the LGA Chairman as the new Ward 5 Deputy Chairman in replacement of the former one, late Mr. Ebigwu, who died recently.
Other members of the Ward 5 Executive Committee that spoke in line with the position of the Ward Chairman during the meeting includes Hon Evelyn Effeh (Councilor representing Ward 5b), Mrs. Philomena Agholor, (Ward woman leader) James Okoro, (Ward Secretary), Chinedu Nduka (Ward Assistant Secretary) and Mr. Isioma, the Ward Organizing Secretary.
In his response, the Chairman of the Party in Ika South LGA, Mr. Jude Onya thanked the members of the Party Executive Committee in Ward 5 for the visit. He prayed God to bless them.
He was quick to remark that any Party, elective or appointive position held by any person in Delta State in general and in Ika South in particular was made possible by the generosity of Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Governor of Delta State.
Therefore, all forms of loyalty and commitment should be expressed by the office occupants to the Governor.
In the same vein, the Party boss explained that it means that any direction that the Governor wants the Party officers and members to go, in the spirit of absolute loyalty, is where they are to go without refusal or act of betrayal.
The LGA Chairman informed the Ward Executive Committee that the party at the LGA will be very fair in the discharge of duties, especially as electoral activities for the local government councils draws near.
