ToHead, Collective Leadership of Onu Ika Nigeria, Daniel Usifoh, has said that Ika people are not part of Biafra and its agitation. Daniel Usifoh made the declaration during the 19th Ogwa Ika 2017 which took place at Odogun Hall, Owa, Ika North/East Local government Area.
Head Collective Leadership of Onu Ika Nigeria stated that, in collaboration with other sister and prominent associations the group recently, and publicly dissociated Ika people from the agitation of Indigenous People of Biafra and a utopian annexation of Ika land as a part thereof.
Meanwhile, Mr. Usifoh has condemned the dastardly activities of the nomadic Fulani Herdsmen, saying the activities of the butchery hordes of Nomadic Fulani Herdsmen are escalating by the day and spreading evil, saying that Onu Ika has publicly expressed the stand of the Ika people on the issue, saying that both the Federal and state Governments had remained largely tardy and lethargic on th issue.
Speaking further, Usifoh said that Onu Ika is deeply worried about Ika youths mass immigration to Libya, Europe, maintaining that Onu Ika consider it as voluntary slavery.
He decried the fact that some parents see nothing wrong in their unemployed youths seeking greener pasture in unwelcoming clime.
He also frowned at what he described as the ongoing multiple development fees hoisted on any prospective developers, saying that such development is unprogressive and restrictive to investment and economic growth and development.
