Calvary greetings to everyone in Jesus Christ Mighty Name, Amen.
I want to teach on the message titled “Where There Is No Truth, There Will Be No Knowledge”. I picked the message from the book of Hosea chapter Four from verses One to Ten.
When there is no truth, Anarchy is the order of the day. The book of Hosea 4:1-10, says “Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel : for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land”.
Verse 2, says “By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood”.
When there is no truth, lying takes place, killing, stealing and committing adultery they break out and blood toucheth blood because lying is of the devil.
Verse 3, says “Therefore shall the land mourn, and everyone that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven : yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away”.
When there is lie, like what is currently happening in this Nation Nigeria, the problems we are facing is that our leaders are liars, they turn white to black and turn black to white, that is why we are where we are today, because all the inhabitants of this country Nigeria are fed up with lies.
They stole our money, they lie, they kill, they swear unnecessarily, they deceive, they commit adultery, you can see from all the books and crannies of the country that blood is touching blood. That was exactly what the Children of Israel did, when they left God and God left them and Anarchy befell them and they languished in pain, because lying is of the devil and we know that the devil came to steal, to kill and to destroy, and he never brought peace to mankind.
Verse 4, says “Yet, let no man strive, nor reprove another : for thy people are as they that strive with the priest”.
Verse 5, says “Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the Prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother”.
Verse 6, says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge : because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no Priest to me : seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy Children”.
God told the Children of Israel that since they have forgotten His commandments, they are destroyed because He was no longer with them, His word which He gave them to guide and cater for them, they had thrown away. That is what we are seeing in our Nation currently, God said “I will not work with you”. It’s like the issue of these fake Pastors, fake Priests, fake Bishops, fake Prophets, e.t.c, who today perpetuates evil and delights in crime, killing and ritual activities because they lack the knowledge of God, that is why you see that God has rejected them, just like what we are witnessing in Nigeria today. That is why you see that most of our people who would have been a light to this Nation are now darkness to the Nation because they have thrown away the Truth. The Bible says that “We shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free”.
Where there is lie, there is Anarchy, there is killing, there is death, there will be no progress instead there will be destruction.
The Bible says “Blood toucheth blood”. Why? Because the spirit of deceitfulness is now the order of the day.
Verse 7, says “As they were increased, so they sinned against me : therefore will I change their glory into shame”.
That is why you see that in Nigeria today there are several agitations in different parts of the country and there is nothing good in them. God said now that they are dwelling in sin, He will change their glory. What does it mean? God said that He will no longer watch over them, because God is our Security.
God told the Children of Israel that haven involved themselves in idol worship and sin, they will continue to languish and He will not watch over them again to protect them because they have forsaken God and threw away His words, and God said that they will lie down in shame, which means Lamentation.
Verse 8, says “They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity”.
You can see from the above passage that they no longer do good but instead delighted in evil acts.
Verse 9, says “And there shall be, like people, like Priest : and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings”.
Verse 10, says “For they shall eat, and not have enough : they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase : because they have left off to take heed to the Lord”.
Just like the situation of Nigeria, they abandoned God, that is why they are confused, there is no increase in them, instead of them to increase they are diminishing because God is no longer in their midst.
God said in His word that without Him we can do nothing. When a man throw away God, such person has lost his glory and Anarchy becomes the order of the day. That is what Nigerians are facing today, because they buried Truth.
The book of First Samuel 2:27-30, says “And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house?
And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my Priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? And did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation : and honorest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?
Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me forever : but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me, for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed”.
God told the Children of Israel when Eli, was chosen, however, he later deviated from the way of God and indulged in wrong deeds. This made God to be angry and God withdrew all the promises which He initially made to Eli. And God reemphasized that He will only honour those who honour Him.
This means that if you want your life to be straight you have to abide in the ways of God and obey His ordinances. But when a person decides to act on his own leaving the ways of God, there is no way you can enjoy the peace and security of God, because you can’t cheat God, you can’t dodge God, because His glory is in everywhere, He is God Eternal, He sees far and near, there is no one else like Him, His words are indelible words, so there is no way you can counter God and say that He didn’t see you. Everyone that dwells in this planet, wherever you are on earth be it in the air, on the sea, under the waters, God is seeing you 24 hours.
The book of Malachi 2:1-9, tells us about the consequences of disobedience to God’s instructions, warning that when a person departs from God, destruction will come, death will come, sorrow will come, lamentation will come and pain will come. This is the word of the Lord. No one can direct God on what to do because God is Perfect, God is Holy, God is mighty, God is the one that has the Final say. That is why the book of Malachi 2:1-9, buttress what God told the Children of Israel, emphasizing that haven said it, He will maintain it and no man can reject it. Let’s read through the book of Malachi 2:1-9, so that we will understand that God’s word remain indelible words.
Malachi 2:1-9, says “And now O ye Priests, this commandments is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings : yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts, and one shall take you away with it.
And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
My covenant was with him of life and peace, and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips : he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
For the Priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth : for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
But ye are departed out of the way, ye have caused many to stumble at the law, ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law” Praise ye the Lord, Hallelujah.
What the above passages is saying is that God rebuked the Priest, so any Pastor that supports evil, any city, any organization, any community that indulges in anything evil, will see destruction, will see shame. God said that they will lie down in shame and lamentations will befall them.
Christianity is all about Truth, outside Truth you will not find Knowledge. Christianity and the word of God is the Knowledge which every believer, Priest, Pastor, Bishop and everyone should put first in their daily life.
The word of God need to guide and lead us in whatever we do. We are not to lead the word of God. The word of God is to tell us what to do, that will manifest the blessings of God upon our lives, and make us not to bring curse to our blessing.
