The Yoruba Community in Ika land have expressed appreciation to His Royal Majesty Dr Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekwuzi I, the Dein of Agbor for his sterling leadership quality and love for the Yoruba people and other non indigenes living in Agbor. The Yoruba Community stated this at the Dein Royal Palace, Ime-Obi last Sunday while paying homage to Dein Keagborekwuzi I, during this year’s Iwa-Igi festival which was celebrated on October 4.
The leader of the Yoruba Community in Ika land, Adegoke Marum, who spoke in an interview said that they are proud to be residents in Agbor as the city has favoured them in all ramifications, hence, they were at the Dein’s Royal Palace to say thank you to the King and also to wish him a happy Iwa-Igi celebration.
According to him, “We are here to be part of history and also, to say a big thanks you to the great King of Agbor Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Dr Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekwuzi I, for his sterling leadership quality and love for the Yoruba Community and other non Agbor indigenes.
Many of us were born and brought up here in Agbor. We live and earn our living here without any hitch. This was made possible because we have a Royal Father, Dein Keagborekwuzi I, who promotes peace, unity and progress. We are very proud of him because he has shown us great love and support.
We will continue to pray for him and also support his efforts to make Agbor the envy of all other kingdoms in the world. We congratulate him on the success of this year’s Iwa-Igi festival and wished him good health and long life on the throne.”
