Physically challenged persons in Ika South Local Government under the umbrella group, Joint Association of Persons With Disabilities, JONAPWD have thanked the executive Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, the executive Chairman, Ika South Local Government, Hon( Evang.)Sunny Tatabuzuogwu, the member representing Ika Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon(Barr) Victor Nwokolo and other well meaning individuals, Churches and groups for identifying with them in this yultide season.
The group in a thank you statement by its Chairman, Comrade Friday Ogor Okoh declared that it will remain eternally grateful to all persons who are using their hard earned resources to support the welfare needs of physically challenged persons in Ika South.
Ogor specially thanked Governor Okowa and Hon Tatabuzuogwu for their continued support and love for the physically persons. He noted that his members are happy in this yuletide season because Governor Okowa and Hon Tatabuzuogwu created the enabling enabling environment for them to thrive. While wishing Governor Okowa who is the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP success in next year’s presidential election, Ogor assured that his group will vote overwhelmingly for all the PDP candidates, noting that they have equipped themselves with their Permanent Voters’Cards, PVCs.
He used the medium to announce their unflinching support for the administration of Hon Tatabuzuogwu. “Hon Tatabuzuogwu has been a strong pillar of support to us. He is our father and mentor. While we appreciate him for his kind gestures, we will surely give him all the support he needs from us,” Ogor declared.
The physically challenged persons who were drawn from all the communities in Ika South gathered in large number at the Ika South Local Government Secretariat on Wednesday, December 28 where they shared bags of rice, cartons of indomie nodules, toiletries, tubers of yam, garri and other gifts donated to them by spirited individuals, churches and groups.
